About My Work

I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) researcher and educator with more than two decades of experience across the Americas. My work integrates systems thinking, social science, and practical problem-solving—often in multidisciplinary settings.

Today I’m building a stronger engineering-technology profile while continuing applied research and consulting. I care about rigorous methods, clear writing, and results that people can actually use.

My work is grounded in systems science and system dynamics, with a focus on community-based system dynamics (CBSD), participatory modeling, and group model building. I use causal loop diagrams and feedback analysis to study complex social systems and support collaborative learning and decision-making.

My academic and professional work is also informed by a deep commitment to spirituality and religion, which shape my ethical orientation, sense of responsibility, and understanding of human dignity. I see systems work not only as a technical endeavor, but as a moral and relational practice—one that must remain attentive to meaning, values, and the lived experiences of communities.

Teaching

What I teach

  • Systems thinking & applied quantitative reasoning
  • Research methods (quant/qual) and academic writing
  • Bilingual instruction and mentoring

What students get

  • Clear structure, step-by-step explanations, and practical examples
  • Feedback that improves real deliverables (papers, proposals, reports)
  • Methods rigor without unnecessary jargon
